Terms of service

1. What BikeStudio is

BikeStudio is a directory of motorcycle workshops that own genuine BikeStudio diagnostic tools, verified by serial number. It is operated by sooko.io, Indonesia (“we”, “us”). Riders use it to find workshops, call or message them and navigate there.

BikeStudio does not perform repairs, does not take bookings or payments and is not a party to any work agreed between a rider and a workshop.

2. Accounts

• You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code. Keep your phone secure; actions taken from your account count as yours.
• One account per phone number. You must be at least 17 years old.
• You can delete your account at any time under Account → Delete account.

3. Rider conduct

• Reviews must be honest and based on your own visit. One review per workshop. Do not review a workshop you own or work for, or a competitor of it. Paid or exchanged reviews are not allowed.
• Chat is for contacting a workshop about your motorcycle. No abuse, threats, harassment, spam, unsolicited advertising or illegal content.
• Do not copy workshop data from BikeStudio for marketing lists or automated scraping.
• We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

4. Workshop verification programme

• Genuine tools only. Register only serial numbers of BikeStudio tools (YDIAG Pro, HDIAG Pro, AFR meter) that your workshop owns and has on site. We check every serial against our sales records and may ask for proof of purchase or photos.
• One serial, one workshop. A serial number can be linked to one workshop at a time. If you sell or transfer a tool, remove its serial number; your tier is recalculated.
• Accurate information. Name, address, coordinates, opening hours, brands serviced and photos must describe your own workshop and be kept up to date. Do not claim a tier, tool or certification you do not have.
• Tiers are computed from registered tools: Partner (one tool), Pro (YDIAG Pro and HDIAG Pro), Tuning center (Pro plus AFR meter).
• Approval. We review every submission and may decline it. Serial numbers are re-checked at each yearly renewal.
• Suspension. We may suspend or remove a listing, with or without notice, if a serial number is disputed or found in our records under another owner, if information is false or outdated, if the tools are no longer on site, after repeated substantiated rider complaints, or for abuse of chat. We tell you the reason; you can respond at sookoio01@gmail.com.

5. Signboard and brand kit

• While your listing is active we grant you a non-exclusive, revocable licence to display the BikeStudio partner signboard, sticker and certificate at the registered workshop address only.
• Do not alter the design, reproduce it for another location, or present BikeStudio as your employer, guarantor or the supplier of your services.
• The “Branded” mark is granted after you upload a photo of the sign installed at your own workshop.
• When a listing is suspended or ended, remove the signboard and sticker within 14 days.
• The BikeStudio name, logo, badges and certificate design remain our property.

6. Fees

• BikeStudio is free for riders.
• Workshops pay no fee in the first year of partnership, counted from the approval date.
• We may introduce a renewal fee after the first year. We will announce it at least 60 days in advance; you may leave the programme before it applies at no cost.
• We never charge a commission on repairs and never take payment on a workshop’s behalf.

7. No warranty on workshop services

BikeStudio is a directory. “Verified” means the workshop registered genuine tool serial numbers that matched our sales records at the time of the check. It is not a guarantee of the quality, price, timing or safety of any work.

Any repair or service contract is between you and the workshop. Agree the price before work starts. Complaints about work go to the workshop; you can also report a workshop to us and we will consider it under section 4.

The service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, or that map positions, opening hours or other workshop information are always accurate.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by Indonesian law, sooko.io is not liable for loss or damage arising from repairs or services performed by a workshop, from information published by a workshop or rider, or from interruption or errors of the service.

For any other claim, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim; for a free service that is nil.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud or wilful misconduct, or rights under the Consumer Protection Law (Law No. 8 of 1999) that cannot be excluded.

9. Your content

You keep the rights to the photos, reviews and messages you post. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to store and display them within BikeStudio for as long as they are published. You confirm you have the right to post them and that photos show your own workshop.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using BikeStudio and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts and listings for breach of these terms. Sections 7, 8 and 11 continue to apply afterwards.

11. Changes

We publish new versions on this page with a new effective date. Material changes are announced in the app at least 14 days before they take effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If a dispute arises, write to us first; we will try to resolve it within 30 days. Otherwise the courts of the Republic of Indonesia have jurisdiction. If the English and Indonesian versions differ, the Indonesian version prevails.
